thebobert: reallykatie: For my fellow Kentucky tumblrs out there — Gatewood Galbraith passed away last night. He was only 64! I always hoped one day he’d eventually win the governor’s race. :( Gatewood was an interesting guy, and the self-proclaimed Last Free Man in America.  I voted for him for governor and always loved the way he approached running for office.  I’m legitimately sad about this. I had the privilege of meeting Gatewood years ago during a book signing at my college bookstore. He was a kind and genuine Kentuckian. I’m having trouble imagining another governor’s race without his brutal honesty.
